Administrator (of a sphere)
This is a sphere member who has the right to invite people, accept invitations and configure the sphere.

Avatar
This is the image that represents you. You can modify it for each individual sphere.
Badge
Badges can be created by managers, as a way to show appreciation for members of their organization. Members can decide which spheres they want to display their badges in.
Banner (in a sphere)
A display area at the top of your sphere. You can place a static message here, that will be visible to all members.
Charter (for a sphere or an organization)
This is a document which outlines the specific rules for an organization or a sphere. It must be accepted in order to access the content.
CMS
The CMS (Content Management System) allows you to integrate static pages of content on the public portal (website) and/or the internal portal (intranet) of an organization.
Complete Directory
This is the full listing of sphere members. It can be displayed as a list of names or photos.
Dashboard
This is your homepage, the page that appears when you first connect to Whaller.
External portal (public homepage)
This is a public presentation page for an organization.
Federation
Federations are a way to arrange organizations (which contain spheres) in an arborescent manner.
Group
This is a named set of sphere members. You can send a message to them (without tagging each person individually) by typing "@@" followed by the name of the group. Example: "@@nameofthegroup".
Internal portal
This page lets you view all the spheres in an organization, and eventually, to ask to join the ones that interest you. It can be personalized with widgets, the CMS, etc.
Manager (of an organization)
This is the person who configures an organization and can accept members.

Organization
A company, association, school, etc.
Resource
This is an element that you can reserve in the resource planning section (ex. meeting room, material, etc.) It's an organizational option.
Shop
This is the Whaller boutique, where you'll find plenty of goodies.
Sphere
Unique to Whaller, this is the space where you can communicate and collaborate securely with your network members. Learn more about spheres
Survey
This type of message allows you to ask sphere members to share their opinion on a certain topic.
Tags
Tags are keywords that can be attached to a message. You can use them as a filter to find related messages later on.
Video-sphere
This is a personal conference room for a sphere.
Visitor
This is a person outside of the organization, for example, a client or service provider.
Whallies
To reward your loyalty, Whallies (Whaller's virtual currency) are added to your account, depending on your activity on the site.
The Whallies you accumulate can be used to buy gifts for yourself, or other members.
You can access your Whallies and the Shop by clicking on your avatar in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
Widget
This is an element that can be inserted into sphere pages and portals. For example, videos, photos, links, RSS feed, etc. See the full list of widgets
