Versioning: version management, new version, file edition
From the file box, there are several ways of managing file versions, depending on whether your organisation has a Pro, Business or Enterprise package.
Keep a history of the documents you're working on and revert back to previous versions. Access a document's menu by clicking on the three small dots next to it, then select " Version history ".
Available with the Enterprise offer
You can ‘Upload a new version’ (1): this allows you to update a file:
For Enterprise packages, this creates a new version,
For Business and Pro offers, this replaces the file.
You can also ‘Download for modification (lock)’ (2) a file at any time: this is the checkout function.
Here's how it works:
At the time of downloading, you define a lock time for the resource: this means that the file will be locked
You modify your file locally, and you can be sure that it will not be modified in the meantime.
Once your modification is complete: you remove the lock, then ‘upload a new version’ (see action 1).
