Use the chat
The chat feature can be used to start an instant conversation with one or several organization/sphere members.
- From the closed chat
Go to the chat, located on the right-hand side of your interface. Click on the “**+**” to initiate a new conversation.
- From the open chat
If the chat is already open, click on "**Start a conversation**".
- From the chat icon in the header
If you don’t have any conversations in your chat yet, clicking on the chat icon in the header will allow you to start a new discussion.
Enter the username(s) of the member(s) you would like to converse with from the sphere you are active in.
Note: Messages in the chat are arranged in chronological order, with the most recent messages appearing at the bottom.
To minimize a conversation in the chat, click on the “ v ”.
To remove a conversation from the chat, click on the “ x ”. Your message will no longer be visible in the chat, but it can still be accessed in its associated sphere feed.
The number of unread messages in your chat is displayed next to the chat icon, located in the header.
Go to a publication in one of your spheres, then, with the three little dots, click on the "Detach conversation" icon to detach the conversation in the chat.
Start a new private discussion
- From the closed chat

To minimize a conversation in the chat, click on the “ v ”.

Unread messages

Detach a conversation
